A Beer Bar That Gives You More
Most bars in New York City follow the same formula — long tap lists, loud music, a menu that tries to do everything and does nothing particularly well. We took a different approach. At the art bar, the menu is intentionally short: wine, beer, coffee, charcuterie, and cheese. That’s it. And that’s the point.
The art on our walls isn’t decoration. It’s the experience. We work with local New York artists to bring rotating exhibitions into the space, which means the room you’re sitting in is always a little different from the last time you were here. The beer is good. The food pairs with it. The atmosphere does the rest.

The Art Was Never Just Wallpaper Here
There’s a version of the “art bar” that hangs a few prints, calls itself gallery-inspired, and moves on. That’s not what we are. At the art bar, the art is the reason the space exists. The beer and the charcuterie are what make it comfortable enough to actually spend time with it.
New York City has some of the world’s best galleries — and most of them feel like a test you haven’t studied for. White walls, hushed rooms, the quiet pressure to look like you know what you’re seeing. We’ve always thought that was a shame, because great art deserves to be experienced without all that anxiety. A beer in hand changes the whole dynamic. You relax. You look. You start talking.
That’s the idea behind everything we do here. Art that’s genuinely present, a menu that supports the mood, and a room that makes the whole thing feel easy.
The Menu Is Short Because It Should Be
A curated beer menu isn’t a limited beer menu — it’s a confident one. We’re not trying to stock every style from every borough. We’re trying to make sure that what we pour is worth drinking and that the food alongside it actually makes sense together.
Our charcuterie and cheese boards are built to pair. A well-chosen cured meat and a sharp aged cheese alongside the right beer is a tasting experience, not an afterthought. Add a glass of wine or a coffee to round out the evening and you have the full arc of a genuinely good night — without a 40-item menu standing between you and enjoying it.
In a city where every bar is trying to be everything, we’d rather be excellent at a few specific things. That philosophy comes directly from how we think about the art on our walls: you don’t hang 300 pieces. You choose the best ones.
